Wow, what's up with the mediocre reviews I'm reading on NYX's Hydra Touch Brightener ($8.99) glamour babes?! This crayon, pencil, whatever you want to call it is great!

There are three shades all together; Radiance, glow, and luminous.

I happened to go with radiance which is a lovely shade of soft pink, perfect for fair skin.

The formulation is lightweight, super hydrating, creamy, smooth, provides good pigmentation, and blends well, making this easy to apply.

The water based crayon instantly illuminates while giving off a cooling sensation upon contact with skin.

NYX's Hydra Touch Brightener is more of a pencil than crayon, you do have to sharpen it. I was wishing it was a retractable crayon like most of them are nowadays, less mess and effort.

I don't recommend applying Radiance to the said areas as the back of the box advertises; cheek bones, bridge of nose, chin, forehead, etc...I tried this method and it really didn't produce an illuminating effect, and I wasn't digging the cooling sensation all over my face, it almost felt like a subtle sunburn. I get the term beauty is pain, but that's just going a little too far for my taste.

Where you really need to apply this and you'll noticeably see a difference is underneath the eyes and brows bones, see!

The Hydra Touch Brightener instantly covers dark circles, waking up those peepers immediately! The cooling sensation actually helps too if eyes appear tired and puffy, total awakening, I feel like a whole new woman, lol.

NYX's Hydra Touch Brightener last all day, it does not smudge or crease into fine lines, I do happen to have a few, this is how I know, lol. I don't care what the reviews say, this is totally looking into and spending a mere $9 on. And hey, if you don't like what you see, you could always return it, it's as simple as that, just save the receipt ;).

Stay beautiful! Xo.
