She gave the ocean every bit of her
Down to the last broken string of notes from the melancholic music playing right behind her soul
She gave the ocean every bit of her
Every smile, every tear, every shadow she never touched, every bone she never embraced, every piece she has been gnawing on for quite some time now
She gave the ocean every bit of her
All because of its quietness, its deceiving atmosphere, its songs of
“Trust me, my dear”
She gave the ocean every bit of her
And all they are at this very moment
Are shining pieces on the sea floor
At the very bottom, at the darkest corner
Now she swims and she swims
Deeper and deeper
Till the air leaves her lungs
She is drowning
She’s been drowning ever since
But see her swim
See her dive
See her plunge just to reach herself
And bring every piece back to the surface
Where they shall glitter with the light of her
