October/November Digs and Duds Like 0 Twitter Zoey Franzen Follow Dec. 14, 2017, 6:08 p.m. in Life and Styles Views: 434 Like us on facebook "I've always admitted that I'm ruled by my passions" -Elizabeth Taylor Hello my lovelies! I am honestly dead tired at this moment and in a terrible mood after being yelled at for 8 hours straight, so I'm going to keep this little intro as short and sweet as possible. I decided to combine October and November this time around, as I didn't have much to work with from October to begin with. I do have an eye makeup tutorial for this coming Friday, so if you're interested in finding out how I got this eye look, tune in later this week! Digs Too Faced Primed and Peachy - I don't know if this is my favorite primer EVER, but I do really enjoy it. I think the smell is awesome, but I wouldn't say it gives off a peach scent, although I can't put my finger on what the scent is. Nonetheless, while this primer does work well, I don't see any marked improvements to the longevity of my makeup or how it goes on. I would say that it helps curb my oiliness, and that's ultimately what I'm looking for in a primer. Fenty Beauty Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation - I would like to formally note that Fenty beauty has MADE A PERFECT SHADE FOR ME....It's also the shade specifically designated for Albinism. Personally, I think the coverage could be better, as well as the oil control (not much for a matte foundation), but damn does my skin look smooth as hell when I wear it. I never have my forehead or smile lines show up when wearing this foundation. Unfortunately, I have a suspicion that this foundation might be breaking me out along my jawline, but I'm probably going to keep using it anyway. NYX Duo Chromatic Illuminating Powder in "Twilight Tint" - This is a really cool highlighter if you like something different and intense. It reminds me of the ABH Moonchild Higlighting palette in many ways, but at a much more reasonable price. If you are going to spend a lot of time in fluorescent or harsh lighting, I would not chuck this on as it can quickly look like a chalky stripe, but this looks absolutely gorgeous in natural lighting and flash photography. Maybelline Eye Studio Brow Define + Fill Duo - Still not really feeling the powder side, but I thoroughly enjoy the pencil side of this product for sure. I've started venturing into the more structured brow realm, and this has made my journey a fairly easy one that doesn't make me want to rip my hair out. Definitely going to post an official first brow routine once I'm a little more practiced, and this product will be in it. Maybelline The City Mini Palette in "Concrete Runway" - This is a very good palette for $10.00, and while it does have some flaws, I still find myself reaching for this one and my Downtown Sunrise palette on a somewhat regular basis. These aren't necessarily as pigmented as my Urban Decay or Anastasia shadows, but for the brand and price, I am more than pleased with the payoff and blendability. Duds Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Lacquer Liner in "Purple Rebel" - Fun story, I was originally going to do a purple cut crease with this product. It patched up so badly, I had to start over and rethink what I wanted to do. I genuinely threw this liner away, which is a shame because Maybelline has been kinda killing it lately. This is such a shockingly streaky and patchy product, it picks up on itself horribly, and cracks once dried down. The color is gorgeous when you waste a lot of time working with it, but it's not even worth the time consuming effort when I can find something infinitely better (Product not shown in picture). Covergirl Peacock Mascara - This mascara is OK. It's not bad, but it's also not special. The packaging is gorgeous and I like the formula, but the brush does a fairly poor job of distributing product, and stabs me in the eyeball when I use it. If I could get a wand like L'oreal Lash Paradise with this formula, I would be happy as a clam. Milani Amore Matte Lip Creme in "Obsession" - Lordy was this a bummer for me. I have spent all this time hearing amazing things about these liquid lips, and when I finally got my hands on one, it flat out sucked. I had to layer it in order to get a non-streaky layer, and once I did layer this product, it literally crumbled off of my lips. I'm not sure if this is just a problem with this color, as dark colors can be a bitch to make, but I was NOT happy with my predicament after hearing such high praise (Product not shown in picture). That's all I have for you guys today. Please remember to like, comment, and subscribe, it really helps me out. Also don't forget to have an awesome Wednesday, it's hump day y'all! Stay beautiful!
