This might be the simplest, yummiest treat you will ever make. Here’s how you do it!

  • 50g unsalted butter
  • 50g light brown sugar
  • 50g caster sugar
  • 3 tablespoons greek yogurt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 140g plain flour
  • Pinch of salt
  • 100g chocolate chips
  • 200g dark, milk or white chocolate – your choice!

Cookie dough is so simple to make. In a large bowl, beat the butter, brown sugar and caster sugar together to form a pale and creamy mix. Fold in the greek yoghurt and then add the vanilla extract, plain flour and salt. Mix well and add all of the chocolate chips.

Store the cookie dough in a fridge for about an hour to let it firm up – this makes it a lot easier to work with when you need it!

You need to separate the Oreos very carefully on greaseproof paper, ready to fill with the cookie dough. This is the tricky bit as the biscuits will fall apart in your hands if you’re too rough. Twist and pull apart gently! It’s not the end of the world if you break one. You’re going to glue everything together with the cookie dough and some melted chocolate anyway. But life will be a lot easier if they stay intact.

At this point you can also melt your chocolate. You want this to cool down slightly before dipping your Oreos in it!

And now you are ready to assemble! Spread (carefully) a heaped tablespoon of cookie dough on the plain side of the Oreos and sandwich both sides back together. When you have filled all of your Oreos you can now dip each one in the melted chocolate and make sure they are generously coated. Place them all back on to the greaseproof paper as you go, and this needs to sit in the fridge for about an hour to firm back up!

It’s as simple as that. Oh my, are they yummy.
