I can clearly see why Pacifica’s Ultra CC Cream Radiant Foundation (1 fluid ounce. airless pump container $18) won the 2014 Natural Health Beauty Award glamour babes, this stuff works wonders for the face, and for all skin types too!

For those of you who are new to my blog, let me just say this, anytime I see the word foundation on a product, I kinda back away and head towards another direction, lol. Yup, foundations have put the fear in me, and for a good reason. My oily skin can’t handle the heavy coverage of a foundation, it causes my cystic acne to flare up something fierce. Luckily, I found Pacifica’s CC cream on sale at Ulta for $9, and thought, if all of their other products I own are just as awesome, why not give this CC cream “foundation” a chance? Into my basket it went as I sped off to the checkout counter.

Pacifica’s Ultra CC Cream is available in two shades, natural/medium, and warm/light. I opted for the natural/medium, warm/light was a wee bit pale against my already fair skin, must be for the Snow White beauties out there. I guess the color correcting minerals actually did adapt to my skin tone because the natural/medium shade matched perfectly!

For the record, this is not a foundation, phew! This is definitely a CC Cream providing sheer to medium coverage and is formulated with broad spectrum SPF 17 to protect skin from the suns harmful UVA/UVB rays. It does cover imperfections really well, but as for redness, you may need to build it up with some concealer depending on the severity. I have some slight redness due to some acne scars that are in the healing phase, and I can get away with just applying Pacifica’s CC cream alone, if it’s a pimple or zit that needs a little more TLC, I usually apply some green or peach concealer to cancel the redness out and everything is back to normal. Redness can be such a pain in the derrière, can you agree with this? Of course you can!

Pacifica’s Ultra CC Cream is infused with coconut water making this creamy liquid “foundation” super moisturizing and lightweight blending into the skin beautifully creating no streaks. I find that the oval brushes work like a charm when using this CC cream and a little goes a long way with this product.

I use about two pumps and it covers my skin evenly and flawlessly. There is a lovely subtle fragrance of jasmine lingering through the product, so if your sensitive to fragrance I think you’ll be ok. The scent is actually quite pleasurable and calming once you get an underlying whiff of it. The wear of Pacifica’s Ultra CC Cream lasts all day, keeping my skin looking naturally radiant with a soft dewy glow.

The only con for me was it made my t-zone a bit more greasy than usual as the day wore on. It did not clog my pores or cause additional breakouts, I used some translucent powder to keep my t-zone balanced, which helped out a great deal. This was totally worth aimlessly browsing the aisles at Ulta and finding this dream of a CC cream on sale for $9. I will be shelling out the full $18 once I run out, I love that Pacifica is cruelty free, vegan, gluten free, and keeps chemical preservatives like parabens out of their products, and they’re pretty good at making my skin look fabulous as always, lol. Pacifica’s Ultra CC Cream Radiant Foundation is available at Target, Ulta, and Pacificabeauty.com. Have you tried this award winning beauty? What are your thoughts on CC creams? Love or hate?
Stay beautiful! Xo.
