Week 3 kickoffs tonight as the 2-0 Houston Texans visit the 2-0 New England Patriots. Let's take a look and see if we can find the right players to start tonight and the right players to sit. I'll do the best I can to find the right guys for your fantasy team and hopefully get your week off to a good start.

Jacoby Brissett/Jimmy Garoppolo

New England hasn't named a starting quarterback for tonight's game yet, but this is still an easy decision for you. No matter which way the Patriots go you should SIT that guy. Houston has a good defense and if the Injured Garoppolo plays I don't think he'll get through the entire game. If Brissett plays I expect the Patriots to focus on the run game to help him out.

Brock Osweiler was paid big time quarterback money to become the Texans #1 quarterback. He's been solid through two weeks, but hasn't shown enough to warrant a start against a New England defense that always seems to perform when they need them to. I think that I'm going to SIT Osweiler tonight.

Running Back:

LeGarrette Blount could be a good play tonight if Brissett is the starting quarterback like reports are saying. When the Patriots run the football Blount is the guy who's probably going to get it. Blount has both of the Patriots rushing touchdowns this season. I'm having a tough time getting on board here; so I think I'd SIT Blount, but I could understand why you'd start him.

Lamar Miller has been putting up the yards for the Texans, but he hasn't found his way into the end zone yet. I'm not sure tonight is the night he gets that first score of the season. Miller will catch some passes as well, but I don't think that's enough for me; so I'm going to SIT him tonight. With the draft position you may have gotten Miller in he may have to be a start for you though.

Wide Receiver:

Julian Edelman 7 catches a game at 10.1 yards per catch, but he doesn't have a touchdown pass yet/. Edelman's reception volume is down with the Tom Brady suspension, but he's still a quality receiver. Tonight with the Garoppolo injury Edelman is the #2 quarterback for tonight's game. I have a feeling that Bill Belichick has a few plays set for Edelman as the quarterback. I'm interested enough in this situation to START Edelman tonight.

Danny Amendola has 2 touchdown catches on the season. Of course that's with Garoppolo as the quarterback. With someone else under center will Amendola sit be a target around the goal line? I think it might be to big of a gamble to hope that Amendola catches a touchdown pass tonight; so I'm going to SIT him against the Texans.

Chris Hogan was suppose to be a big factor in the Patriots offense, but an injury has slowed him down. Hogan is averaging 17 yards a catch and has a touchdown, but how healthy is he. This is just another situation where I can't get on board. I'm going to keep Hogan on my bench; so he's a SIT for me.

DeAndre Hopkins is the Texans best receiver and Osweiler's #1 target. Hopkins is in the upper echelon of NFL wide receivers; so it might be tough for you to not play him tonight. Hopkins has 2 touchdowns to go with 12 catches. I think he's a good enough play to START tonight.

Will Fuller has been the biggest surprise out of the group of rookie wide receivers. Fuller has 9 catches for 211 yards in two games this season. He's a speed receiver that stretches the field for the Texans. With Hopkins drawing the double coverage Fuller has a chance to put up some numbers. I'd be willing to take a chance on Fuller tonight and START him.

Tight End:

Rob Gronkowski hasn't played in the first two games of the season due to injury, but looks like he might make his season debut tonight. This is kind of an easy one. He's "The Gronk" if he's playing tonight you START him. Make sure to check the late inactive list; so you don't get caught if he doesn't play.

Martellus Bennett has really shown he's a quality tight end with Gronkowski out. Bennett is averaging 16 yards a catch which is high for a tight end and he also has a touchdown catch. With Brissett as the starting quarterback I think he'll look to really on the tight ends in the short passing game. I believe you'll be able to START Bennett tonight.

C.J. Fiedorowicz/Ryan Griffin/Stephen Anderson

I'd be surprised if you had any of theses tight ends on our roster. Anderson has 5 catches, Griffin has 3 catches and Fiedorowicz has 2 catches. They'll only see the football if Osweiler is in trouble and has to dump the football off. This is an easy SIT for me.

Defense/Special Teams:

New England has had success stopping the run, but teams have averaged a little under 330 passing yards against them. A lot of those yards came last week when the Miami Dolphins where trying to make a comeback. The Patriots are always one of the top defenses in the NFL even though they don't have that big name guys on it. I think you'll be safe with New England's defense as a START.

Houston's defense has been good these first two weeks. They've held opponents to an average of 13 points these first two weeks. That's not too bad in a league that's geared for offense. Tonight they'll face a 3rd string quarterback in Brissett and that should be a plus for them. Of course the Texans have J.J. Watt on the pass rush. There's enough here to make them a START for the night.
