Years ago when I was teaching we had a blind gentleman that would come and tune all the pianos in the school.  He fascinated me, and the children.  He would feel around in the back of piano for the pegs, attach his wrench and then continually hit the key and turn the peg until the string was tuned; no electronic tuner, no gauges, nothing.  He did it all by ear.  He could hear when each string was a little bit off and when was in perfect tune.

Not only would I like that kind of hearing physically, I would also like it spiritually.  Sometimes it is difficult to know the origin of a voice that we hear.  Is it God?  Is it Satan?  Is it just my thoughts?  In John 10:27 Jesus says, “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.” (KJV)  How do we know if the ‘voice’ is a little bit off or not?  It’s actually quite simple.  You read His word and pray.  The more we do that, the easier it will become to know if the voice is God’s.
