For me, quotes are just a way of life. Oh you're feeling a little down, let me give you a quote. Am I feeling sarcastic, let me top it off with a quote and so on. But when it comes to books, I have an infinite list because even if I'm not able to read a book at the moment, I'll just remember some quotes and I'm always in a better mood. So here are some of my favorite quotes from books and about books!

  1. "I declare after all there is no enjoyment like reading! How much sooner one tires of any thing than of a book! -- When I have a house of my own, I shall be miserable if I have not an excellent library." -Jane Austen, Pride & Prejudice

  3.  "Reading gives us someplace to go when we have to stay where we are." - Mason Cooley
  4. “Right now I'd like all my troubles to stand in front of me in a straight line, and one by one I'd give each a black eye. ”-Shannon Hale, The Goose Girl
  5. "Picking five favorite books is like picking the five body parts you'd most like not to lose." -Neil Gaiman
  6. “Only the very weak-minded refuse to be influenced by literature and poetry.” -Cassandra Clare, Clockwork Angel
  7. “Where is human nature so weak as in the bookstore?” -Henry Ward Beecher
  8. “I must learn to be content with being happier than I deserve.”-Jane Austen, Pride & Prejudice
  9. “It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live.” - J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

And a final one that I think we can all agree on.
