Reinventing my Inner Architecture Like 0 Twitter Steve Cang Follow Nov. 2, 2016, 1:44 p.m. in Life and Styles Views: 643 Like us on facebook I recently visited Thailand from the 27th of September until the 6th of October and it was an eye opener and my baptism of fire that changed my perspective on travelling. I wasn't the type of person who would save up money just to spend it with something that I feel has no return value, I prefer investing my money for business rather than leisure- letting it circulate and grow, so to say. I knew I wanted to see the world but I sort of had a jaded belief that I have to be a multi-millionaire first before I do it. But this time was different, I felt strongly that I had to do this for myself to explore more of what's out there and to gain a better understanding of myself- I was hungry and curious for knowledge, the same hunger that I have had for starting up and growing enterprises. One of the things that I really learned, and probably I will treasure for the rest of my life, is to take things slow even for just a moment to take some time and appreciate what we have around us- from the simplest things like flowers and butterflies to the grandeur of temples and landscapes. This also means giving more value to people that I have in my life that I may have neglected due to busyness. Paying attention to the small details that will bring me closer to the ones I love. I also have found that my love for capturing moments and beautiful things grew further- saving wonderful memories in just a click of a finger, thank you for the inventors of cameras! Riding an elephant in Phuket, Thailand. Butterfly in Bangkok's butterfly garden. One of those moments where I learned to appreciate small things. 2-month old baby Monkey in Phi Phi Island. I still want to keep it! (only if I could) Admiring the beauty of Thailand's grand temples. As you can see, I was really happy that it turned out to be a very fulfilling trip that expanded my understanding and my perspective about the world and all of its possibilities. It really gave me a better and deeper understanding of who I am as a person and what I am capable of. So give traveling a shot and it might do you wonders the same as it did for me.
