Roaming Around Rhodes Like 0 Twitter Unrivalled Chic ...by Serena Stack Follow Aug. 16, 2016, 5:37 p.m. in Life and Styles Views: 1048 Like us on facebook I can honestly say Rhodes, one of the Greek islands, was one of the most beautiful destinations I’ve travelled to. We went at the end of June and the temperature was just perfect. High in the twenties allowed for lounging around the pool, various water sports and also time for a sneaky siesta at lunchtime. We stayed in the Esperos Palace Hotel which suited us perfectly - delicious breakfast, various pools to choose from, located on the beach, spa facilities and that all important bar that you can swim up to...Priorities eh? The Esperos Palace Hotel has a variety of restaurants to choose from, some traditional Greek along with others, all equally as good. One of the nights we ventured into the Falaraki centre which is within walking distance from the hotel. This was definitely not one of my favourite parts of the holiday, due to its lack of good restaurants. Also, the reports on the centre when researched don’t come across too good. However, the night life was good fun! Alex & Ani Braclets / Fossil Watch / Aztec Print Dress Rhodes Old Town which is about a 15 minute taxi drive from the hotel, is a must see. This is beautiful, with its narrow cobble streets, old stone town walls, and spectacular views. We ate in the highly recommended Marco Polo restaurant which I came across on the Lonely Planet. Set in a garden court yard, the menu changes daily and they serve predominantly Greek food. If coming here you need to book in advance, we didn’t, and we waited...and waited. There is a water park directly behind the Esperos Hotel. We went here one day and I have to say it was so much fun. Now, I’m no water park expert but according to my boyfriend’s superior knowledge it’s up there with the best. Overall, Rhodes is high on my list and if you’re looking for a relaxing holiday in the sun this could be for you!
