Are you guilty of writing two projects at once? If You are… It's okay, you're not only. It's the most controversial thing that writers do. But why do we do this? Is it because we have a writer's block?

Maybe we started writing one idea and need a place for it? Or do we just want to write something different?

Is it bad to do this? Of course not! If anything, this can cause people to have less writer's block. Our brains are full of having many different ideas. Too many ideas make it difficult for writing. All the ideas we have aren't going fit in one story.

Or maybe you have a separate idea, but you don't want to include it in your novel. That's why we tend to start off and write something totally separate. It's also great to start another project when you have alternative ideas for your novel.

Even though writing two projects at the same time isn't a bad thing, we do want to be careful of it. This really can cause us to stray away from main novel priority. Especially if you have a deadline. Don't distract your mind from you been started rather than what you just started.

If you do, do that in the beginning phase when you're still figuring out your story. Make them similar in case one idea doesn't work. But if they're totally separate, schedule the days you want to tackle the story.

Hang on tight, we’re writing something great.
