I feel like my skin has really improved over the past few months so I thought I would share my skincare routine with you guys. I like to keep my routine really simple with minimal products and I use drugstore products most of the time.

MORNING:

The first thing I do in the morning after I brush my teeth is cleanse my face. I use the Neutrogena Oil-free Acne Wash Cleanser - I love the whole Neutrogena grapefruit line because it is oil free which is ideal for my eyelash extensions (I'm not supposed to use oil based products around my eye area) and the products aren't very harsh. This cleanser is really gentle on my skin and it doesn't over dry my skin after using it.

After I cleanse my face and pat it dry, I use my Lush Tea Tree Water Toner. I feel like this product is what mainly contributes to keeping my skin clear. Tea tree water is good for the skin as it reduces redness and balances out oiliness. A few spritzes of this on my face and I'm ready to move on to moisturizer.

Keeping the Neutrogena trend going, I like to use the Oil-free Acne MoisturizerIt has a pump which is very sanitary and it's very lightweight on the skin.

On days when I feel like my skin needs a deeper cleanse, I use the Neutrogena Oil-free Acne Wash Foaming ScrubThis scrub is infused with microbeads that smooth away any dead skin particles without irritating the skin. It exfoliates nicely and leaves my skin feeling nice and smooth. I usually use this scrub in the shower about 1-2 times a week.

NIGHT:

Before I cleanse, I remove my makeup with the Equate Makeup Removing Wipes (from Walmart). I've been using these for years now mainly because they are inexpensive ($8 for 2 packs of 60 wipes) but also because they don't break me out and they get the job done quickly.

After I remove my makeup, I cleanse my face. I like to use a more heavy duty cleanser at night because I have more time, and also because I feel like my face needs a little extra cleansing to remove any excess makeup. I use the Lush Herbalism cleanser - it is a gentle exfoliator infused with ground almonds and rice vinegar. I spread it all over my face and let it soak in for about one minute. I rinse it off with warm water and proceed to toner.

I usually use the same Lush toner that I use in the morning, but if I was wearing a full face of makeup for an event or special occasion, I go in with my Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water instead of the toner. This can be considered a dupe for the Bioderma Micellar Water, which is about double the price of the Garnier one. I like using micellar water after removing heavy makeup because it gets rid of any excess dirt and makeup that my cleanser might not have removed. I apply this product with a cotton round.

I follow up with a heavier moisturizer than my morning one, which is the Nivea Night Moisturizer. It is infused with Vitamin E and almond oil - it leaves my skin feeling nice and refreshed when I wake up in the morning.

And that wraps up my skincare routine! It's nothing too special as I like to keep it very minimal, but I feel like using a simple routine is better than using a bunch of different products at once. Hope you guys are having a good week..happy hump day! :)
