The Bible teaches us that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Most people have heard of Moses receiving the 10 commandments from God for us, well they were given to show us simply how we couldn’t keep them. The Bible says they where a schoolmaster to show us our need for Jesus. You see God is perfect, there is no darkness in Him at all. When we sin (and we all do) it separates us from God.

As soon as Adam disobeyed God in the Garden of Eden, God went about establishing His plan to bring us back into right standing with Him through the Act of Covenant. Through Covenant, blood was shed to cover or in the case of Jesus remove sin once and for all.

To be in complete 100% right standing with God it requires us to come into the Covenant that God established. In the English translation of any Bible you will see the Word repent. We must repent of our way of living and receive the New Covenant cut with the righteous blood of King Jesus.

To repent means to change your allegiance from serving your own ways and turn them to start living Gods ways. His yoke is easy and His burden is light. We receive all the blessing that Jesus died for us to have and He bore (past tense) on the cross all our sins and mistakes that would have otherwise separated us from God. Once you choose to come into Covenant you will be right with God. The Bible says you can now come boldly to the throne of Grace to find help in your time of need.

If you sin after receiving Jesus, you can boldly come to Him for the help to get out of that sin. Don’t run from Him, run to Him. This is very important.

You can pray this prayer

Lord Jesus I recognise my need for you and ask you to come into my life. I receive your truth and hand over the steering wheel of my life to you. I trust you will take my life into that perfect place of blessing and peace as you do a work in my life to remove all things that offend you. Thankyou Lord Amen

Now you have made the greatest decision in your life there are some things you’ll need to do.

You will now need to start living by faith. Trusting that God is a supernatural God that is fully involved in the Covenant you just entered into. Find yourself a good Bible believing church that teaches faith, grace and that you can see walking in love. The Bible says faith works by love, so that will be important.

Get yourself a Bible and read it at every opportunity. Find out your covenant rights so you can declare them and stand on them when the devil tries to sway you. Proverbs 4:22 says that the Word of God (The Bible) is medicine to your body. When you read the Bible it starts to go in and heal every cell and restore even broken down part of your body. Believe that as you read your Word.

Speak to God (otherwise known as praying) Come boldly to Him as I mentioned earlier, He will come through for your needs if you cast them to Him. If you’re not already baptised in the Holy Spirit, ask the Lord to give you His Spirit and receive it instantly by faith. Open your mouth and allow Him to fill it with words. Don’t worry about sounding silly, and try to switch off your thinking. Believe God and He WILL fill your mouth. Just keep at it till you’re fluent. Praying in the Holy Ghost as often as possible will strengthen your Spirit man. Just like lifting weights strengthens your body, praying in tongues will cause your spirit to get big and strong. After receiving the baptism in the Holy Ghost you now can walk in the fullness of the Spirit of God. Lay hands on the sick and they WILL recover.

Fellowship! Bad company corrupts good morals. Get around other likeminded on fire Christians. If you hang around people that are not excited for God they will more than likely snuff out your fire. This is why you need an on fire Bible believing Church. Religion and even our past friends or family can snuff out the Spirit from flowing freely. When I first got born again I needed to stop hanging around all my old drinking buddies. They seemed to have more effect on me than I was having on them. For a time I was weak in that area, now I am free so be encouraged. Flee even the appearance of evil. You can go back and see them when you are strong and share the Gospel with them. Otherwise if there isn’t a direct temptation involved, I would recommend spending more time with likeminded on fire Christians than others. It will keep you stirred up ad on fire.
