When summer brings sweet air and buzzing bees

And bears plump fruits that all around me grow,

I breathe a breath that fills my soul with ease

As you and I sit swinging to and fro

Upon a bench where night could bring us cold,

Or clouds could bring us rain down from the sky,

And yet I stay like paper stays with fold

And think of you with a contented sigh.

When even winter brings us restless nights,

When even cold creeps in and makes us miss

Those summer nights under those splendid lights,

I think on this when you give me your kiss;

Your love is all that I need ever know,

For we can sing through rain and dance through snow.
