I didn’t notice the spider’s web on my car’s side mirror until I reached the highway.  It was then I looked at it and saw the spider being buffeted by the 100 km per hour wind caused by my car on the highway.  He was holding on for dear life to his web as he bounced all over the place.  I couldn’t figure out which was stronger, the grip he had on the web, or the grip his web had on my mirror.  Neither were letting go.

If only I could have the tenacity of that spider when it comes to my spiritual life; to hang on to Jesus with that same focus of mind and strength knowing that He is an anchor that cannot be budged.

Romans 8:38-39 tells us “For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”  (KJV)  If we hold on tight to Him, nothing will be able to lead us away.
