Well, it's now official.  It is spring.  It may not feel like it but as of March 20, winter was over and spring has sprung.  What does that mean to you?  Daffodils?  Robins?  Warmer weather?  It seems even people who enjoy winter are happy when spring arrives.  The cold and the shovelling become monotonous and the change and relaxation of spring is inviting.  Then there are those who hate winter and starting counting the days until the arrival of spring at the end of summer.

To me as a believer, heaven is somewhat like spring.  I look forward to it coming.  When I think of its arrival all my thoughts are happy.

There is an old hymn by A. S. Bridgewater.  The last two lines of the chorus say, “Fair haven of rest for the weary, How beautiful heaven must be.”  Sometimes life, like winter, can make us weary and tired. I know heaven is coming, but many do not.  Romans 10:9 says, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”  For me, that’s how I know heaven is coming.
