Last week my wife and I went to a coffee shop.  I got my order first and I went back out to the car while she talked with a friend.  When she came out she stood by the door and seemed lost.  Some one in the parking lot looked at her and said, “You came from that way.”  My wife then looks around and found the car.  I’m sure we’ve all done it, I know I have. We get caught up in our thoughts and find ourselves off track.

The same can happen to us in our spiritual lives.  We can get off track without realizing it.  One day we look up and realize sin and snuck up and quietly become part of our lives.  That is why we need to be constantly on guard that we do not allow sin in.  We need to examine our lives and habits constantly to see if sin has infiltrated our lives.  In Matthew 6:13 Jesus says, “And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.”  Jesus himself warned us not to be led astray, but it is up to us to stay focused and stay on track.
