I can remember going on nature trail hikes with my family as a child.  Many of the trails led up large hills.  Sometimes if we got tired we would turn around and head back to the campsite without going to the end of the trail.  If someone had told us there was a pile of money at the end of the trail, I’m sure we would have walked until we dropped.

In our Christian lives, many people give up long before they get to the prize, mainly because they fail to keep focused on the prize at the end of the trail.

If we truly believe that Christ is waiting for us at the end of our journey, how can we possibly have any thought of giving up.  There should be nothing that would cause us to either give up or turn around.  2 Timothy 4:7 says, “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:”  That is what God wants us to do; run that race, climb that hill, never give up.  We need to keep our eyes focused on Him.  When we do that, we can overcome any obstacle.
