After endlessly scrolling up and down Netflix looking for a new TV show to watch, I came across Stranger Things. It looked like something I would never ever be interested in, so at first, I bailed and watched something else.

Then because I had seen it on Netflix, it seemed to pop up everywhere and everyone was talking about it. I saw it mentioned in one of Zoella and Pointless Blog's vlogs as they were watching it as well, so I thought I might as well give it a go.

I watched the full season in about two days and it would have been one day if it wasn't late when I first started watching it.

Here's a basic rundown for you if you have absolutely no idea what show I'm talking about:

It's set in the 1980s and the main focus is a group of young boys. One of the boys, Will, goes missing one day after being chased by some kind of unusual… being? The entire series (There are only eight episodes) is based on the boys and Will's mother, Joyce, and brother, Jonathon, trying to find him. It sounds so simple and actually a bit boring, but it's actually amazing.

I'm not a big fan of sci-fi or aliens or anything like that, but I really did enjoy it.

After Will goes missing, a random little girl seems to appear from nowhere, as is named "Eleven" as this number is tattooed on her arm, and she doesn't seem to know much about the world or if she really does have a proper name. At first, I thought she was weird and I couldn't stand her character. But over the course of the next few episodes, I thought she was perfect. Watch out for her- she will break your heart.

Winona Ryder was off the scale in her role of Joyce. I can't think of anyone who could have played that character any better.

It's spooky and eerie and so gripping that you can never finish an episode and not really consider about putting the next one on immediately, regardless of it being 1am.

The only thing I will say though, is that the ending was not what I was expecting. I'm not sure if I loved it or if I hated it, because I was expecting the worst for Will. But it leaves you on a such a cliff hanger that it's given me hope that there might just be another season around the corner.

I don't think we've seen the last of Will Byers or Eleven.

I hope.
