Over the weekend, my friends and I were out and about in the city for a day of eating, shopping, and people watching. When choosing my outfit, I wanted something comfortable, casual, but cute! This is what I came up with:

In my opinion, stripes are always good for any season. They conceal your flaws and flaunt your assets. This shirt is a new twist on a classic take. Instead of just 2 stripes, the front is red and white, while the back is tan and white. The fun pocket on the front also adds some visual interest!

The jean skirt is another classic that can be either dressed up or down. Mine is an old one from Banana Republic with an elastic waist! You can wear it high, low, or anywhere in between to create an entirely different look.

Finally, the shoes. These are my new favorite sandals. Over spring break, I visited Cambodia. These were the only shoes that kept my feet cool and never blistered once. Though they are definitely worn down on the right toe, I cannot bring myself to get rid of them. They are just too cute and comfortable! Again, you can dress up or dress down these sandals. Pants, skirts, dresses, shorts... they go with anything!

This outfit is also very easy to customize the way you want it. Switch up the shirt, the skirt, or even the shoes. I'm all about making an outfit your own while still using what you have.
