Sugar Rush (An Offensive Line book two)

Tracey Ward

Lilly Hendricks owns her own bakery with her best friend, Rona. She meets the running back for the Kodiaks, Colt Avery, when she caters a gender reveal party for one of the coaches. Colt can’t get her out of his head, so he shows up at her bakery the next day when she is having a food show film them baking. Despite her frosty demeanor, they hit it off and sparks fly.

Colt begins pursuing her even though she had major reservations about being with someone that’s in the spotlight so much. She gives in, though, and they begin a fun relationship. Colt is a very energetic person, but he finds that Lilly has the ability to mellow him out just by him being in her presence. Lily has been in a funk for quite a while, and Colt managed to bring her happy and playful side out once more. When they run into major problems with the paparazzi, Lilly breaks things off. Will she have the courage to overcome her reservations of being in the spotlight?

Standalone, New Adult Sports Romance with a HEA. Mature audiences only.

My only issue with this book is Lilly’s aversion to dating someone so in the spotlight. I just feel that her reasoning could have been a tad more developed. Maybe focused more on how she felt when Cassie left versus how badly it affected Michael.

On an unrelated note, I would love to read a story about Michael finding love again…maybe with Rona?😀

This is an absolutely wonderful book in a wonderful series by a wonderful author. I can’t wait to read the next one!
