Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon missed the entire 2015 NFL season after testing positive for alcohol in an NFL drug test.  Now Gordon has failed another drug test, testing positive for Marijuana and dilute.  While the level of Marijuana was below that of a positive test result, the presence of dilute made the result positive.

Gordon had applied for reinstatement in February and would have been reinstated after 60 days had he passed his drug test.  While the news for Gordon is not good, this development does not mean he will miss another season as NFL commissioner Goodell has not ruled on Gordon’s request for reinstatement. Both the NFL and Gordon’s agent have not commented on the case.  Gordon was the league’s leading receiver in 2013 and has reportedly been working out intensely during his time off and in anticipation of reconnecting with his former Baylor teammate Robert Griffin III who was released by the Redskins and picked up by Cleveland recently.
