There’s an traditional Christmas carol, ‘Go Tell it on the Mountain’.  The chorus says, “Go tell it on the mountain, over the hill and everywhere, go tell it on the mountain, that Jesus Christ is born”.  That is just what the angels did.  The account in Luke 2 tells us that first an angel announced to the shepherds that the Christ child was born in Bethlehem.  Verses 13 and 14 continue the story and tell us, “And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.”

Where has this sentiment been hiding in today’s world?  We need to shout it from the mountain tops.  Too many people wander through the season seemingly unaware that it is the CHRISTmas season.  Many others seem wary of saying Merry Christmas because of the fear of offending those of other religions.

This Christmas season wish others a Merry Christmas.  Take some time to sing some Christmas carols.  Remember, it is not just the holiday season, or the winter season, it is the Christmas season.
