The detox baths were not in trend since the last decade, but as the science has started to make revolutions in the field of health, this practice also has gained a lot of importance. The detox baths, as the name implies, is practiced mainly to get rid of the toxins in the skin.  Other benefits of the detox baths help you get rid of the stress and give your body a comfortable feel which in turn contributes to release toxins and get cleaner, improves your sleep, enhances your concentration and helps you stay more focused.

Some things are used to make your detox bath. You could take advantage of the herbs, ready-made detox bath lotions, essential oils but the most commonly known type of the detox bath is the Epsom salt bath which gives your body many health benefits. Since the Epsom salts are cheap and are readily available everywhere, the Epsom salt bath is the most popular form of detox bath today.

The Epsom salt, which is also known as magnesium sulfate, is the main salt in this detox bath. It helps the body cleanse and get rid of all the toxins in the skin. Other than that there are many health benefits linked to the Epsom salt as it readily gets dissolved in water and relaxes your body from all the tension.

Taking a warm bath with Epsom salt added in it is the most heavenly experience you will have before going to bed. Here let us share with you the recipe for this magical bath.

Recipe for the natural detox Epsom salt bath

  • 1/4 cup sea salt
  • 1/4 cup Epsom salt
  • 1/4 cup Baking Soda
  • 1/3 cup Apple Cider Vinegar/ grape vinegar
  • Any choice of the essential oils that you prefer around one tablespoon

Instructions to prepare the detox bath

Take a jar and add both the salts and baking soda to it. Now add warm water to it and mix well. Set this pot aside. Now fill the bath with warm water of the temperature you desire and add vinegar to it. Then add the salt solution to it and mix well. In the end, add the essential oils if you like. Now your detox bath is ready for you to hop in.

Now get in the bath and stay there for around 30 minutes or more. You must note that you would get relaxed after this bath so the best time to take it would be before bedtime as you might get a little light headed afterward.

If you are facing any issues with the skin, you must consult your dermatologist before exposing your skin to the Epsom salt. Sometimes people are allergic to some salts, and it's better to take advice beforehand.

You can make this natural detox bath in a Jacuzzi, a regular bathing tub or the shower tower, whichever you prefer to take.
