The highly endorsed ophthalmic solution nowadays is the Careprost ophthalmic solution. These drops help in curing hypotrichosis, a condition in which a person is lacking an adequate amount of eyelashes and reducing intraocular pressure on the eyelashes. Different issues like glaucoma, eyelash growth, and ocular hypertension can be rectified, which may be occurring due to environmental fluctuations or inherent factors by making use of this product.

Careprost eye drops

0.03 % of an ophthalmic solution of Careprost is the eye drop, which is used to reduce the pressure inside the eye called IOP or intraocular pressure. People suffering from glaucoma make use of this ophthalmic solution that normally occurs when aqueous humor is advanced in the eye. Sometimes even vision loss can be caused by the damage in the optic nerve due to high pressure. This eye drop causes the movement or discharge of aqueous fluid in the eye, which eventually decreases the eye pressure responsible for vision loss. Eyelashes can be made to grow thicker, darker, and longer using these ear drops.

Careprost is mainly used to cure hypotrichosis but is also used for the effective growth of eyelashes too. This was initially its side effect, but then Careprost eye drops are chiefly used as an eye drop that grows eyelashes. It encourages the growth of eyelashes and even makes them thicker, darker, and longer.

Active components in Careprost eye drops

The main ingredient of Careprost ophthalmic solution is Bimatoprost. Some other ingredients like monohydrate, sodium phosphate dibasic, purified water, citric acid, sodium chloride, and preservative benzalkonium chloride. Sodium hydroxide and hydrochloric acid are added to these drops to balance the ph of the solution. If Bimatoprost eye drops are applied to the eyes regularly, it will result in longer, thicker, and darker eyelashes.

Steps of application of Careprost eye drops

Some ways to apply Careprost to make your eyelashes naturally thicker, longer, and darker are as follows. Bimatoprost ophthalmic solution is the eye drops that are directly applied to the eye to cure intraocular pressure. To improve the eyelashes, we can do this without making use of makeup brush. The Careprost eye drops are applied carefully inside the base of eyelashes by using a brush of a lip liner or an eyeliner.

Step 1

Before you apply this ophthalmic solution on your eyelashes, keep the following things in mind

  • Your face should be dirt free, and your face should be free from any makeup.
  • You also need to remove your contact lenses before applying this solution to your eyelashes.
  • Any other facial treatment product (if applied) needs to be off the face before using these eye drops.

Step 2

To apply these eye drops, hold the applicator in position, and put a single drop in each eye. While dropping, make sure that the applicator brush is far from the bottle faucet.

Step 3

After closing your eyes, take the applicator near the eyelid and directly apply it on the base skin of the upper part of the eyes. Be very careful that the liquid does not enter the inner area of the eyes.

Also, make sure you don't use an excessive amount of drugs because it may lead to side effects.

How to make proper use of Careprost eye drops?

Follow the directions carefully while using these drops. Do not make use of this medicine more than the amount prescribed by the doctor or ophthalmologist.

If your ophthalmologist or doctor has prescribed two different eye drops for your eyes, make sure you wait for 5 minutes between them. This will prevent washing away from the first eye drops by the second one.

A very important point to note here is that the preservative used in these eye drops is absorbed by soft eye lenses; it reacts with them irritating your eyes. So it is recommended to remove soft contact lenses before the application of these eye drops and the lenses can be put back 15 minutes after the application of the eye drops.

Steps of application of Lumigan eye drops

  • The bottle is not filled. It is done to get a proper drop check.
  •  Wash your hands first. Your head needs to be tilted back and then press gently on the skin immediately below the lower eyelid outside the direction of your eye using your finger to make room for eye drops. After that, gently drop the medicine into that space then remove your finger and slowly close your eyes without blinking. Keep your eyes closed for 1 to 2 minutes so that the eye drops are completely absorbed by your eyes.
  • Without touching your eyes, remove the unwanted liquid outside your eyes using cotton or clean tissue.
  • If the application is not done properly in the first go, repeat the step to correctly apply eye drops in your eyes.
  • After successfully applying for the medicine, wash your hands to get rid of the medicine that may be present on them.

  • After that, remove the unwanted liquid outside your eyes using cotton or a clean tissue or absorbent fabric.
  • Repeat the process for the upper eyelid margin.
  • This medicine is not applied for lower eyelashes.
  • Destroy the applicator after the medicine is applied properly.

The applicator tip should not touch any surface or even your eye. This will prevent germs from entering medicine.
