“I love you” – three, small, basic words that hold the most power in the world if used together in alphabetical order. All of us have said these three words to someone at one point or another, or had it said to us.

When someone says these three words to you, it can hold a different meaning than intended, depending on who the person is that’s saying it. You don’t love your grandparent like you love your lover, do you? No, you don’t. That’s because even though these three words have the exact same spelling in each scenario where they’re used, they hold a different meaning for each person you say them to.

In all honesty, I wasn’t even going to do a blog post today, but after doing the daily social post for T&M Global Events, I saw a rather powerful quote on Pinterest:

‘I love you’ means that I accept you for the person that you are, and that I don’t wish to change you into someone else. It means that I do not expect perfection from you, just as you don’t expect it from me. ‘I love you’ means that I will love you and stand by you even through the worst of times. It means loving you when you are in a bad mood or too tired to do the things I want to do. It means loving you when you are down, not just when you’re fun to be with.” – Deanne Laura Gilbert.
