Titus 1 Who do you have in your life that you can count on to do a job for you? There are two kinds of people in this world. With one, you say the job is really hard so we can’t send them. With the other, you say the job is really hard so we must send them. Titus fell in the latter. Paul could trust him to complete the mission which was to appoint elders “in every town.” What a monumental task! But Titus was the one Paul could send to complete the task which was as he said he also was chosen to do: “further the faith of God’s chosen ones.”

What was it about Titus that Paul could see and could know? From past experiences, Paul knew Titus was genuine in all areas. They shared the same common faith of belief in Jesus the Christ. In addition, Titus had proven true with each challenge Paul extended to him but this one by far was the most extensive and the most daunting. As we read this letter to Titus from Paul, we will find out the reasons behind that statement but for today we focus in on this: he was always ready, always prepared and always willing.

He was a F-A-T Christian. “Faithful, Available, and Teachable. Does this describe you? Are you a  Titus person?
