When I whisper admiration, they hear insults.

When I shout desire, they receive rejection.

Let’s claim carelessness as my true friend,

If I don’t want to hurt and get hurt.

Begotten fashion of uttering my thoughts has cost me friendships.

Life seems silenced “lambs” attending slaughter,

Yet border collies are left uncared for, hungry for

Tides and floods in life.

Which one is one, a dog or a sheep?
