Hello everyone. So I am a 19 year old girl and I am already worried about wrinkles and aging. Through learning about skincare, I have learnt that my number one enemy is... the sun! So what is the easiest way to protect myself against the sun? Its to wear sunscreen of course.

So, what does the sun actually do to our skin you may be asking. 1. Causes premature aging (I am talking wrinkles, age spots and sagging skin here) and 2. helps the prevention of skin cancer. It causes the premature aging by damaging collegen and elastine in your skin and when the elastine starts breaking down you will start to get even more wrinkles! Skin cancer is also a serious topic and affected 65,500 people in the USA in 2011 and one of the easiest ways to prevent skin cancer is to wear sunscreen.

Now you may be thinking 'well my moistuiser contains SPF, Im fine'. I am sorry to break this to you but no you are not. Yes, your moistuiser may contain SPF but I can guarantee you are not wearing enough to actually proctect your skin. Applying sunscreen everyday (and reapplying throughout the day) is the best solution to all if this. You will be happy to hear that SPF is now being added into make up. Whether you are staying in the house or its cloudy, raining or snowing, you need to apply sunscreen because them UVA and UVB rays are still getting through and still attacking your skin. Evidence of what the sun can do can be seen in lorry drivers and how one side of there skin is aged significently more.

Now I wear sunscreen every morning since getting into skincare and honestly, this 5 minute job is something I can live with doing if it means I am not going to get wrinkles and protecting my skin to the best of my ability.

Do you wear sunscreen? Will you now? Let me know. If you want to know more about skincare check out my blog https://jennisdaydreams.com/ and as always
