Scripture focus: Psalms 61:4&6-7

"I long to dwell in your tent forever and take refuge in the shelter of your wings... Increase the days of the king's life, his years for many generations. May he be enthroned in God's presence forever; appoint your love and faithfulness to protect him."

What David was crying for was made available to us even without praying for it. David longed to be in God's tent forever and be under the shelter of His wings. David must have wanted a deeper intimacy with God, the indwelling of God's spirit. But then it was fulfilled in us even without us asking for it. Why? David was a man after God's heart but we are men whom God is after their heart. John 3:16 talked about God's love for us.

David loved God but God loved us. David was asking for God's shelter but God is already our shelter.

No wonder in Romans 8:31-39 Paul said a lot of things that David would have wished happened in his own time. God is for us and nothing (including Satan) can be against us, not that they won't want to oppose us but they can't. In verse 37 we are more than winners! Meaning that we did not just won a battle, we are under the protective wings of God!

David asked for an increase in the King's life (his dynasty) and asked for an everlasting enthronement which will happen in God's presence (with God's approval) but God did it for "the new creature" even without them asking for it. He did more than what David wanted. He enthroned us (Eph 1:5,11), he did not prolong our lives, he gave us a new everlasting life (John 3:16,Romans 6:23) and He sat us with Jesus in the heavenly places (His presence. Ephesians 1:19:23). We are the body of Christ, so if He is sitting with God, we are sitting with God. When you understand this, you won't fear the devil and pray hopelessly. Let me make it clear, it is only for those who believe, it is not for everyone, it is for those who believe and until you believe it, you can not fully know what it means. God said " my people perish because they lack knowledge". Knowledge is not power, it is applied knowledge that is power. Sin has been dealt with and God is no longer dealing with it. It is only one sin that can destroy a man, it is the sin of unbelief.

Even JESUS said that sins against God and Him (man) can be forgiven but sin against the Holy Spirit (total rejection of Jesus in spite of the signs and total practice of unbelief towards the saving grace of Jesus) will never ever be forgiven. Not that God didn't forgive us but many didn't receive His forgiveness. They rejected it and therefore don't have that package of God's grace.

In 1 John 3:22-24 we discover that it is not in keeping the Moses commandments that we can please God, the commandments we are to keep is to BELIEVE in Jesus as CHRIST and SON of God and to LOVE one another. Those who keep this commands (believing and loving) are those who lives in Him.

I urge you, BELIEVE this gospel and you are free! Nothing else can set you free and if you already believed, continue to enjoy in HIS presence.

Christ is enough! Selah!
