So yesterday I woke up and went for a run and I just had to stop and snap this picture.

IMG_1588Pretty worth waking up at 5am if you ask me.

I wanted to take a moment to step back and reflect upon the past few days of me getting RunningchangesU started and the response I have received. I have to be honest, I was not 100% sure what to expect, as I have done a handful of social media interaction/blogging attempts before with other hobbies of mine and none of them ever really felt right.

Overall the response has been overwhelmingly positive. Every single interaction on here or on other social media platforms has been nothing but supportive. That is what I love about the running community. We are competitive by nature, yet when it comes to seeing others succeed, we see their success as our own. Reading the dozens of posts about completing races and seeing people fail but rise back up, inspires me to do the same. My hope for RunningchangesU is that I can look back in a month, 6 months, or a year…and see a community of runners who connect with the message that I have tried to put forward.

Thank you to everyone who has expressed interest in what I am doing. I know that I am only a few days into this whole thing, but my focus is and always will be on the runners who want to support each other and feel supported themselves, no matter their fitness levels or goals. Running changes you, it makes you a different person on all levels. Anyone who has ever run in their life can attest to that.

So what do you say? Let’s keep this thing going and see what happens.

Let’s change together, let’s run together.
