Hello Beauties,

Today, I took a very long ride during a summer storm ( 1 hr. 5 mins) to a quaint, vintage, rustic, cupcake shop in Geneva, IL.  My cousin, who is really more like a little sister, who happens to be a lot taller than me, said that we needed to visit this shop.  Upon exiting the car, I thought to myself, what a cute little town!  Geneva has this old-timey feel that makes you feel at ease.  As we entered The Sugar Path, the aroma of baked goods hits your smell sensors and instantly your mouth is watering!

Mini Cupcake Set

After checking out the menu, we decided to purchase a minis set (3 lemon, 3 salted caramel, 3 peanut butter, and 3 mayhem cupcakes for $19), a churro cupcake ($3.50 ea.), a DoCup with vanilla bean frosting ($3.25 ea.), and a slice of butter pecan pie ($4).  We pretty much had mini tasting session! As you can see, we really enjoyed those minis!!

Churro Cupcake

The churro cupcake was delicious!  Imagine a light and fluffy cinnamon cupcake with a weightless buttercream frosting, sprinkled with a bit of cinnamon; it is to die for.  It's definitely on of my favorites along with the salted caramel cupcake.  It had the right amount of caramel and salt; a perfect sweet and salty combination.  The mayhem cupcake represents its name; a rich, chocolate cupcake filled with fudge, topped with a vanilla buttercream frosting, sprinkled with toasted coconut, chocolate and butterscotch chips, drizzled with caramel and fudge.  One of those are enough to satisfy your sweet-tooth.

Visiting The Sugar Path was a great little treat and definitely worth the drive.  If you're ever in Geneva, stop by and experience the deliciousness. Your taste buds will thank you.
