The bath mat can be easily cleaned by laundry in jlt with a mild detergent and dried in the dryer or on the clothesline. The bath mat can produce a variety of smells from hard water stains, pets and things that are brought in by the shoes in the house. Most bathroom mats have a latex or rubber backing, which makes the cleaning process difficult. The smell is caused by bacteria and there are several ways to kill them. Heat is one of the easiest ways to achieve this, but the wearer prevents this type of treatment. Bacteria and bacteria thrive in warm, moist environments with rubber mats. Rubber-backed bath mats can be cleaned, but they eliminate bacteria and sometimes rancidity.
