Proverbs 23:7King James Version (KJV)7 For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.

These are some things I remind myself to work on daily.We all have to work to become the person we want to be it may not be easy but it is worth it!

Doubting yourself

Deep down your self-esteem is there. Fight the demons of self-doubt and embrace your recovery work. Believing in yourself when it seems no one else believes in you is a challenge you can overcome. Don't wait for someone else to praise you and bring you red roses. Give it to yourself when you earn it. It is possible to pat yourself on the back. God did not design us to kick ourselves in the butt. Try's physically impossible to do.

Negative thinking

The good news is that persistent inner work can change habits of thinking. You must be willing to put energy and time to pursue positive thinking, in order to change your mental attitude.

Fear of Failure

Don’t underestimate the effectiveness of small steps in the right direction; by the time you get there you’ll be more ready to be where you are.

Criticizing yourself and others

Generally, our judgment of others is an extension of self-judgment; and the self-judgment is so ingrained, so normal, we don’t even recognize it.

Negative Self Talk

Excessive self-criticism tends to backfire, because it leads us to focus on our so-called failures instead of the “small ways that we could have improved


The key to controlling this destructive habit is to recognize when you start procrastinating, understand why it happens (even to the best of us), and take active steps to manage your time and outcomes better.

Fear of Success

Fear of success is similar to fear of failure they have many of the same symptoms, and both fears hold you back from achieving your dreams and goals.

People Pleasing

It’s possible to change and find our voice, our power, and our passion. It requires getting reacquainted with that self we’ve hidden, discovering our feelings and needs, and risking asserting and acting on them. It’s a process of raising our sense of self-worth and self-esteem and healing the shame we may not even know that we carry, but it’s a worthy adventure of self-reclamation.
