The title of this blog might just cause controversy, but there's honestly no other word I can put to the revelation God has given me.

Obviously threesomes (have sex with two people at the same time) are against the Bible and no Christian couple should EVER have one. They are an abomination and they destroy the unity and the image that God intended marriage to be. Before jumping to conclusions I am not endorsing such a thing. Sit back and let me explain.

There's two ways the godly threesome can apply. The first way is through sex between a married couple and the second is through any couple that's seeking God, whether married yet or not.

Let's look at the second first:

I was reading through Ecclesiastes when I read chapter 4:9-12. It was scripture I was familiar with, but for some reason I was struck with the revelation.

"Two are better than one,
Because they have a good reward for their labor.
For if they fall, one will lift up his companion.
But woe to him who is alone when he falls,
For he has no one to help him up.
 Again, if two lie down together, they will keep warm;
But how can one be warm alone?
Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him.
And a threefold cord is not quickly broken."

Right up until the final line, it only talks about two people, but then a third is mentioned and it was as I read that, that I felt God clearly say to me, "A relationship will always involve a third and that is me."

Thus, our relationship should be a threesome: you, your partner, and God.

So what does that look like?

If you look at this through the World's eyes, you'll probably see it like polygamy. Compare it to the Bible and you read of the heartache of Leah as Jacob loved Rebecca more, Abraham, Sarah and Haggai plus many more examples. They never ended good, but they happened and God used it for good.

However, we need to look at this through God's eyes. See, God isn't wanting to steal you away from your partner and likewise which is what would normally happen in a polygamous relationship, instead this threesome is like a triangle. God is the top point, connecting itself to the two corners who represent you and your partner. Through the top point you connect to God, but you also connect to each other. God simply wants to lead your relationship, for better and for worse. He wants to help and guide you both to a better and deeper love, not hinder it. He will help you fortify your relationship/marriage against the attacks of Satan.

In the world, the third person will try and tear apart, but God wants to be the third in your relationship so He can join you closer together.

Feel free to discuss below!
