THROWBACK: CAMIGUIN 2013 - OLD CHURCH RUINS ♥ Like 0 Twitter Rea Lakwatsera Follow June 28, 2016, 12:51 a.m. in Life and Styles Views: 732 Like us on facebook Camiguin is a small island in the Philippines. Based on Wikipedia, Camiguin is the second-smallest province in the country both in population and land area after Batanes. Mambajao is the capital of the province and its largest municipality both in area and population. My friends and I were able to tour Camiguin in a day (just missing two or three other tourists spots). You’ll see upcoming posts about our adventure but for now, I’ll leave you with photos taken from the Old Church Ruins. The church of the Old Catarman town was destroyed and partly submerged by volcanic debris during the eruption and formation of Mt. Vulcan from 1871 to 1875. Also known as Gui-ob Church, only the ruins of the church and bell tower remains of the old town. Here are some of the photos, mostly taken by a local boy probably about 8-12 years young, you’ll see how good he is in taking our pictures! Thank you little boy (so sorry, I forgot your name) for taking our amazing photos! Until next time!
