I'm a day late with my check in on Thursday night football and seeing how my start/sit guys did. Half of it was I was afraid that I did poorly and the other half is I had other stuff to get done yesterday and I didn't get a chance to get this posted. Either here goes; let's see how things went. As always I'll use the scoring system from my Yahoo league that is customized, but close to regular scoring.

Jacoby Brissett played very well I his first career start, but that didn't translate to fantasy. He scored 14.36 points in the game. Brissett threw for 103 yards and was sacked once. He did run 8 times for 48 yards and a touchdown. I had him as a SIT and I think it was the right choice.

Brock Osweiler wasn't very good either. He threw for 196 yards with an interception and was sacked twice. He did run the football one time for 13 yards. He put up just 2.47 fantasy points; so don't be surprise to see Osweiler as one of the lowest scoring quarterbacks this week. He was a SIT for me and that was the right choice.

Running Back:

It was the LeGarrete Blount show this week. Blount carried the football 24 times for 105 yards and 2 touchdowns. Blount put up 28.50 fantasy points in the game. I had Blount as  START as I thought with Brissett at quarterback the Patriots might run the ball more. I think it was a good choice.

This is a tough call on Lamar Miller. He put up 18.95 fantasy points and I'm not really sure where he's going to fall out for the week. Miller rushed for 80 yards on 21 carries. He also caught 4 passes for 27 yards. I had him as a START and I think that was the right way too go.

Wide Receiver:

Julian Edelman scored 8.95 fantasy points and was the highest scoring wide receiver in the game. Edelman caught 4 passes for 38 yards and ran the football 3 times for 14 yards. Sadly my wish of Edelman playing quarterback didn't some true. I had Edelman as a START and I was wrong.

Danny Amendola scored 4 fantasy points. He caught 2 passes for 23 yards and had 10 return yards as well. I had Amendola as a SIT and that was the way to go with him.

Chris Hogan had been a deep threat the first two weeks of the season. Brissett took some shots with Hogan, but didn't connect. Hogan caught just 1 ball for 3 yards and 1.05 fantasy points. I had Hogan as a SIT and I hope you didn't play him.

Deandre Hopkins is one of the best wide receivers in the NFL, but you wouldn't of known it by this game. Hopkins caught 4 passes for 56 yards and 8.60 fantasy points. I really liked this match up and had Hopkins as a START. Man; was I wrong.

Will Fuller had put up good numbers the first two weeks of the season, but not this week. Fuller caught 3 passes for 31 yards and wasn't the home run threat he was in weeks 1 & 2. I had Fuller as a START, but he racked up just 5.35 fantasy points. Missed on that one.

Tight End:

I was in on Rob Gronkowski coming back and making an impact on this game. He didn't look ready to play and didn't even catch a pass; so as you can guess he didn't score any fantasy points. I don't think he should've played, but I had him as a START; so I ate it big time here.

I bought in on Martellus Bennett as well and at least he caught a pass. Bennett actually caught 2 passes for 10 yards and even ran the football 1 time for 6 yards. That added up to 3.35 fantasy points. I had Bennett as a start and I missed here as well.

Ryan Griffin, Stephen Anderson and C.J. Fiedorowicz didn't do much as expected. Griffin was a nice surprise catching 8 passes for 52 yards and scoring 11.20 fantasy points. I had these guys as a group SIT and I hope you did as well.

Defense/Special Teams:

I thought both these teams would be a START this week and I was half right. The New England defense pitched a shutout and scored 25.78 fantasy points. That should be good enough for one of the top point totals of the week. Houston on the pother hand wasn't as good. They scored just 3.29 fantasy points and will end up near the bottom of the Defense/Special teams rankings for the week. New England was a good START, but I missed on Houston.

It was another .500 week as it looks like I hit on 7 choices, but missed on the other 7. That's two weeks in a row I've been at .500 with my picks; so I'm going to have to improve. Feel free to let me know how your players did on Thursday night and thanks for taking the time to read this.
