Week 2 of the NFL season started last night as the New York Jets beat the Buffalo Bills 37-31. I don't think I did very well with my start/sit predictions yesterday, but let's go back and see how I did anyway. Sadly I've made plenty of bad picks in all the years of fantasy sports I've played; so I'm not going to hide from these picks. A quick reminder; I use the scoring system from my Yahoo snake league and while it is customized the points shouldn't be too far off from any league.

Ryan Fitzpatrick threw for 374 yards and a touchdown. Fitzpatrick also added 5 rushes for 21 yards and was sacked one time. Fitzpatrick didn't put up the kind of fantasy points you might think he would've. He scored 16.33 fantasy points last night. I had him as a sit and I think that was the right choice.

Tyrod Taylor threw for 297 yards, 3 touchdowns with 1 interception. Taylor add 25 rushing yards on 2 carries. Touchdown are huge in fantasy and Taylor used that to score 24.94 fantasy points last night. I had him as a sit and it looks like I was wrong on this one.

Running Backs:

Matt Forte went out again and proved people wrong. He carried the football 30 times for 100 yards and 3 touchdowns. He also added 2 receptions for 9 yards. This was a work horse running back performance as Forte put up 37.90 fantasy points last night. Luckily I had Forte as a start and I think I made the right call.

LeShon McCoy rushed for 59 yards on 15 carries while catching 4 passes for 31 yards. I was all in on McCoy going into this season and I'm not sure if it's him or the Bills offense. McCoy totaled 15.75 fantasy points last night. I had him as a start yesterday, but it looks like I was wrong on McCoy.

Wide Receivers:

Eric Decker led the way for the Jets wide receivers last night, Decker caught 6 passes for 126 yards and a touchdown. Decker put up 23.35 fantasy points last night, but sadly I had him as a sit and I was way off on Decker.

Brandon Marshall also racked up a 100 yard receiving game; 101 yards to be exact. Marshall also caught 6 passes, but didn't score. Marshall ended the night with 14.85 points. I had him as a start and if you're going to start someone like Marshall you expect more points out of him. I had him as a start and I'm taking this as a miss.

Quincy Enunwa is starting to catch fantasy owners eyes. He caught 6 passes for 92 yards as the Jets passing offense just clicked last night. Enunwa scored 13.70 fantasy points last night. It's a solid point total if you're I a deep league. I had Enunwa as a sit and I think I got this one right.

Sammy Watkins came into the game nursing an injury and while he didn't look hurt his performance has to make you think he was. Watkins caught just 2 passes for 20 yards last night. Watkins put up 4.75 fantasy points against the Jets. I had him as a sit and it was a good choice. I hope you had him on your bench.

Robert Woods was only targeted 2 times last night and ended up with just 1 catch for 10 yards in the game. Woods is suppose to be the Bills #2 receiver, but with numbers like this you have to wonder if he is. He was a sit for me yesterday and that was clearly the right choice.

Now I mentioned yesterday that you'd see a group of Bills wide receivers try to fill in for the banged up Watkins. I didn't think that it would be a good option to try and plug one of these guys in your line up, but I was wrong on that. Marquise Goodwin caught just 2 passes in the game, but they went for 112 yards and a touchdown. Greg Salas Caught 4 passes for 89 yards and a touchdown. While Brandon Tate didn't catch any passes he racked up 133 return yards In total Goodwin had 18.95 fantasy points, Salas had 17.90 fantasy points while Tate added 2.66 fantasy points. I have to take this as a miss.

Tight Ends:

Kellen Davis got 1 target in last nights game and didn't catch a pass. It was difficult to find out who the Jets listed as their starting tight end and I can see why. Enunwa seems to fill the tight end type role in the Jets offense. I said sit Davis and with him putting up 0.00 for a point total last night I hope you where on board.

Charles Clay caught 5 passes, but just for 27 yards. It's looking more and more like Clay doesn't have a role in the Buffalo offense and he's just there to catch the dump off passes when Taylor gets in trouble. I had Clay as a sit yesterday and it was the right choice.

Defense/Special Teams:

I really thought that this is where the fantasy points where going to come from and I was way off. Both teams defenses played well in Week 1 and I thought that would easily carry over to last nights game; it didn't. The Buffalo Defense/Special Teams scored 9.57 fantasy points last night. The Bills had 1 sack, recovered 1 fumble and did score a touchdown. The problem was they gave up too many points and yards for the touchdown to help. The Jets Defense/Special teams scored 4.16 fantasy points last night. The Jets did have an interception in the game, but that was really for them. Now I had both of these Defense/Special Teams as starts last night and I was so far off it wasn't funny.

After a good week to start the season off it looks like I had 7 correct picks and 7 incorrect picks. After watching the game last night I honestly thought I had done much worse.

Thanks for stopping by to check out how I did. Let me know how you did and good luck this week.
