The NFC North takes center sage in this weeks edition of Thursday Night Football as the 1-5 Chicago Bears take on the 3-2 Green Bay packers at Lambeau Field. Let's see if we can find some good fantasy plays for tonight's game as well as finding the guys we should keep on the bench.

Quarterback:
Brian Hoyer has been up and down as the Bears starter fantasy wise since taking over for the injured Jay Cutler. If the Bears get behind far enough there's a chance that Hoyer will have to throw the football a lot. I'm not willing to take that chance; so Hoyer is a SIT for me.

Aaron Rodgers isn't have an Aaron Rodgers type of season, but with the draft pick you used to get him I'm sure you've been playing him every week. While the Bears defense has been improving I think it's a good week for Rodgers to get healthy against. I'd say START Rodgers tonight.

Running Back:

The Bears may have actually found someone to build around in running back Jordan Howard. Howard has had 100 plus yards rushing In 2 of the last 3 games and more importantly he's getting carries. Howard should be a solid START tonight.

Eddie Lacy was put on injured reserve and James Starks is still recovering from surgery; so the Packers went out and traded for Knile Davis. I'm not sure how many carries Davis will get tonight and the other running back on the depth chart is Don Jackson. I'm going with a SIT for whoever is in the Packers backfield tonight.

Wide Receiver:

Alshon Jeffery hasn't played like a #1 receiver this season. He is drawing double teams and Hoyer doesn't seem to want to try and force him the football. I don't think that Jeffery will get enough targets to be useful tonight; so I'm going to SIT him.

Cameron Meredith has broken out the last few weeks. Meredith has had 20 catches and 243 yards with a touchdown combined over the last two weeks. He seems to be Hoyer's top target; so I'm going to go with Meredith as a START tonight.

Jordy Nelson is one of the top receivers in the NFL and he should be a START for you every week unless your team is loaded at receiver. The Bears have a young secondary and a veteran like Nelson should be able to find the holes and get his catches tonight.

Randall Cobb took a little while to get going this season and a lot of fantasy experts where writing him off. Cobb had 100 yard game two weeks ago and last week he got into the end zone. He seems to be trending upward and I think he should be a START tonight.

Ty Montgomery is going to get a lot of snaps tonight as the normal 3rd wide receiver Davante Adams is probably going to be held out with a concussion. If you're in a deep receiver league Montgomery could be a sleeper type of guy for you. but I've got him as a SIT.

Tight End:

Zach Miller has been battling some injuries and isn't at 100%. Miller still seems to be getting his catches, but he's not putting up much yardage and he's not getting in the end zone. It's a tough call with Miller, but I think that I'm going to SIT him tonight, but I can understand why you'd start him.

Richard Rodgers was suppose to be the receiving tight end for the Packers and that just never happened. He'll show flashes from time to time. but has never put it together long term. Jared Cook is still out; so Rodgers is the guy at tight end, but I just can't go with him. He's a SIT for me.

Defense/Special Teams:

Did I mention that the Bears are 1-5. It's difficult for me to find any reason to consider using the Bears Defense/Special Teams tonight; so obviously they're a SIT for me tonight.

The Packers where #1 against the run coming into their game with the Dallas Cowboys and they got exposed. The Bears have a good running game, but not as good as the Cowboys. I think there's still enough there for me to SIT the Packers Defense/Special Teams tonight.

Good luck to your fantasy players tonight and come back tomorrow and see how these picks did. Thanks for taking the time to read this.
