In the Message Bible, in Psalms 113:7 and 8 it says, “He picks up the poor from out of the dirt, rescues the wretched who’ve been thrown out with the trash, Seats them among the honored guests, a place of honor among the brightest and best.”

I’m sure most of us, at some point in our lives, have felt like we were doomed to live in the dirt of life, or that we had been thrown out with the trash.  If you feel like that now, there is Good News for you.  Not only is Jesus concerned about you, He is searching for you.  Right now He is looking for the downtrodden and rejected.  His desire is to find them and then lift them up to a place of honour; to give them a seat beside the most honored guests.

Do you feel like you are one of the downtrodden?  If you do, turn your gaze upon Jesus and allow Him to take over your life.  No long prayer needs to be said.  He is sitting beside you now, just turn to Him and say, “Jesus, I need you.”  If you do, He will be true to esteem you as the honored person that you are.
