The Bible is filled with commandments telling us not to fear. Promising us there is no reason for fear, and worry because God promises to meet our needs. And one of the greatest promises would be Math 6:33.

Having struggled with debt for a long time, and having seen family members struggling with sickness, I know how difficult it can be sometimes when life throws you for a loop. I have been kneeling down on my knees more then once, crying to the Lord for healing for family members or complaining to Him because I did not see where I would get the money I needed. And then I would turn to passages such as Math 6:33 but not really understanding it.

“All these things shall be added unto you”.

Jesus tells us in this one promise that He will make sure all our needs are met. He will take full responsibility for our finances, and He will give us the money we need for our bills, the money we need to buy groceries.

This one truth is actually life changing. Stop for a moment and consider this, the Son of God tells us in this one line a huge promise. He tells us we will never have to give money another thought, He will take care of us.

“Seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness”.

All of Gods promises comes with a condition. If we want what God promises us, we first have to do something to get it. And Jesus tells us that if we want Him to give us the money we need (not the money we want, but the money we need), then we must first seek the Kingdom of God and His righteousness.

Rom 3:22 says that we become righteous by faith in Jesus Christ dying for us. So it is actually very easy to seek the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. We just have to choose to trust that Jesus died for us. By making that 1 choice, trusting that Jesus died for us, we are seeking the Kingdom of God and His righteousness.

So what Jesus is telling us in this one verse is this. “Trust in what I did for you at the cross, and keep on trusting no matter what, and I will give you what you need to meet your needs”.

Its that easy, so if you need money right now, just trust that Jesus died for you. And he will give you the money you need, not the money you want, but the money you need.
