Whether you are someone who takes advantage of Ai on a daily basis, or you are someone who is still looking to learn about its implementation and what is capable of, there is no denying that it has helped to revolutionise the business sector as well as a number of other sectors in the past few years. Whether this is the use of Ai for sales calls or its implementation in the customer service industry, this has helped the number of businesses expand. In this article, we will be providing you with insight into some of the Ai currently being used and developed that you may not know even exists.

Reactive Ai

This is one of the oldest forms of Ai at this time and has a very limited capability. Though this form of Ai cannot learn on its own, it is following the principle of the human brain that reacts to specific stimuli. Therefore, this is a very basic implementation that can be used in machinery that allows for a function to be triggered when a button is pushed, or a leaver is switched. This style of Ai was used in 1997 by IBM to defeat the chess grandmaster and was one of the early uses of Ai in everyday technology.

Limited memory Ai

In addition to being reactive like the machine listed above, this is also capable of learning from past data to make decisions. Whether this is used in image detection or in a range of other technologies, this form of Ai is one that can be used to store a limited about of data within its database. This form of Ai is most commonly used within chatbots and virtual assistance to provide you with a set answer every time, from a question and answer database.

Artificial General Intelligence

This is a slight development on the other Ai’s previously mentioned on this list as this Ai is able to learn, perceive, understand and carry out the function easily. This will automatically create a number of generalisations as ewe as form connections across the internet to learn and provide information to the user. This is most commonly used within home devices and other voice assistants as they adapt the tasks carried out around your voice and what you are asking, this will then train itself to provide you with the best possible results every time without the need for training.

Artificial Emotional Intelligence Ai

The final form of Ai that is only in the early stages of development at this time is that of artificial emotional intelligence. This is the process of ai being able to recognise and process the emotions it is feeling as well as the emotions of others and provide the correct response. This is, therefore, able to provide robot companions that are able to provide a realistic response to emotions as a result of its deep learning algorithm. This is likely to be implemented within the customer service industry as well as helping to assist doctors in the medical environment.

With this in mind, there are a number of ways that artificial intelligence is being used across the board to help streamline processes and revolutionise technology and how we carry out everyday tasks. How will this continue to change in 2020?
