As my first blog post for this site I didn't know what to write about. I gave it some thought and i asked a couple people and I still didn't have a clue. I have my own blog that I'm devoting to writing, and I'm sure some of those posts will find their way here, but I didn't want to limit myself to just that. (Here's a link to it if you want to check it out: http://nqwwriting.wordpress.com). My husband and I talked about our upcoming travel plans and we agreed that we had to redo our budget to see if it was still a possibility. ( He's an accountant thus the budget talk ). So I decided that I would talk about our upcoming travel plans in the event that we still get to go. Every year around our anniversary, my husband and I go on vacation instead of giving gifts. And we take turns picking where we go and this year it's my turn. I decided after careful thought, that I wanted to go to Arizona. I knew that I wanted to go out west and finally a contributing factor came into play. You're going to think I'm nuts for this reason, especially when you find out where I live, but here it is. I want to see a hockey game and my team is in Arizona. I told you, you think I'm nuts. It's ok, I'm used to it by now. Anyway so now I'm trying to think of other fun things to do, but not being from there it's a little difficult. I looked on Pinterest (I reference this website a lot just fyi) and I found some cool things, but they're spread out all over the state and I'm not sure if I want to make that kind of driving commitment. We're planning on going up to Flagstaff and seeing the Grand Canyon, spending a day in Sedona and maybe a couple days in Phoenix. Do any of you have any suggestions for things to do? Preferably used bookstores, local coffee shops, and natural attractions that showoff the beauty of Arizona. I will keep you all posted when we go (it won't be until November) and I'll share many of my pictures and experiences.
