The Vancouver Boat Show is Western Canada’s largest Boat Show. Vancouver residents are treated to a luxury and leisure showcase, featuring two, separate locations (one indoor, one outdoor), for viewing the latest and greatest in the industry. Recreational vehicles are on display at BC Place and, our favorite, Granville Island, and visitors can find all kinds of amusements, within every price range – Seadoos from $6000, to the newest, luxury Yachts, ranging into prices within the Millions. It really is an event to see, and everyone should go check it out because they thought of all of us Vancouver residents, and there is something for everyone.

There are plenty of things to do at the show, as well, with events hosted by guest speakers, information sessions, and prizes awarded for the best, new yachts of the year. They also have clinics designed for the novice, so that you can learn how to maneuver a boat on your own, and navigate the open waters, without having to rely on a “driver.” For those who aren’t looking to buy, enjoy being out in the great outdoors, partaking in all of the leisurely activities that Vancouver provides, they also have information sessions on all of the exciting careers that are available in this industry – there are over 300 000 positions in the marine industry, and Vancouver is a great city for finding this type of work – Who knew?

For those of you who like the aesthetic aspects and lux-appeal of the boats, here are a few of our favorites from the show.

We like the wide variety of Sea Doos that were featured this year. The great thing about these, shiny, new leisure toys, is that they are an affordable option that everyone can enjoy. This is a great way to get out and peruse False Creek, during the warmer months; if you missed The Boat this time, we recommend putting these bad boys on your list for next year – How Fun!

Don’t ask us which is which, the event is a little mesmerizing, but you can see the whole thing again next year. Do your homework, and check out the ones you like best. Here they all are:

And last but not least…

Our favorite boat of 2017 is the Sea Ray! This luxury yacht is a sportier model, in comparison to most other yachts, with several, stylish features. This is the perfect cross between a yacht and a more leisurely speed boat, like the ones shown above. Commonly referred to as cruising boats. Sea Ray designs a variety of makes and models, such as the 250, the 220 Sundeck, the 280 Sundancer, and this, magnificent model:
