The WADAIKO group called “UTSUWA” is comprised of Japanese Graduates from TAMA ART University located in Tokyo. They are a group of individuals who are experts in their own artistic mediums such as Oil Painting, Japanese Painting, Graphic design, Environmental design and Sculpture. The group aims to promote their art and music in a unique fashion through WADAIKO, by demonstrating their original music compositions while performing expressions through Live Painting during their performances. The group held their second performance this year last February 25, 2017 at the TIU THEATER.

The opening curtains were presented by the Adinkra Lumads Djembe Community and then followed by the WADAIKO "UTSUWA" Group performing their first two pieces entitled Ame Sanzameki and Sora no Kage, Tori no Kage. After their brief demonstration, they then performed with Composer and Teacher Akira Hoshino. Together, the group presented a total of 11 unforgettable songs, including a special guest performance by Shimasen Player Yoshiro Watabe. Overall, the event was a great success as the group performed an exceptional display of passion through music and arts.
