On Friday, November 11, On Tha Brink, stood outside of the Blue Lamp to interview Sacramento’s next up and coming female rapper, ViciouSwagger.

Stephanie Khang, aka ViciouSwagger, was born in San Diego, but raised in Sacramento. This town holds a special place in her heart because this is the place where she became who she is. ViciouSwagger has many different talents, such as: MC, Entrepreneur, Designer, and Rapper. Today, we are here to listen to her music. But, she brings a different experience to the rap game. You see, ViciouSwagger is not only of Hmong descent, she is also a lesbian, and a beast out on the stage.

She has a message for all of her people out there. “Follow your heart. Look at me, I’m so different. And, there are going to be people out there who ae going to tell you that you can’t do it. Don’t listen to them. Love yourself.” She also tells her fellow Asians to not be afraid to step into the American world. Remember, we were born here. We are Americans too.

ViciouSwagger has a very powerful message, and On Tha Brink is going to keep an eye on her.
