Have you ever stood in a slow line at the store waiting your turn for the pay?  Frustrating!  I’m always afraid to change lines in case the one I change to actually turns out to be slower.  I figure that eventually I will get my turn so I might as well stand there.  If I thought the cashier might close before I got there, I would definitely change.  It seems to be knowing that my turn will eventually arrive is what makes me endure.  The longer we are willing to wait for something depends upon the value of thing for which we wait.

That is why I wait for the return of Jesus, because I know it will happen.  I don’t know how long, or short the wait will be, but I know His return will come to pass.  In John 14:2-3. Jesus tells us “I go to prepare a place for you.  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” (KJV)  He is coming back and that’s why I wait.  What a glorious day that will be.
