WALK WITH ME IN TAKESHITA STREET Like 0 Twitter Lisa Sakurai Follow Oct. 1, 2016, 10:33 p.m. in Life and Styles Views: 560 Like us on facebook I know one way or another, you find yourself checking the list in the travel advisory about most visited places in Tokyo (especially when you are planning the biggest Japan trip of your life). And I am sure one way or another, you'll find Takeshita Street in Harajuku in one of the overwhelming list of suggestions. Now if you are in doubt of the reviews, let me give you a walk through to your options, why will it be awesome and why once and for all, you better jot this down in your itinerary. You'll see different walks of life. And that also means it will be hell of a crowd! Now this place might not be for those of you who cannot stand crowded places, but let me warn you that Tokyo alone is a crowded place. There is no getting away with that. Anyway, I've never seen so much diversity of race and culture in one street; showing off their most authentic, overwhelming and unique sense of clothing and make up. Over dressing is not even an option here, it's a statement – and that makes this street/ district the most fashionable place in Japan. Shopping. Crazy Shopping Now this is not like your Forever21 or H'nM type of shopping here. If you have some sort of fantasy of dressing up as a fashionable alien, or one of those dreamy Lolita dolls then this is your place to make all those fantasies come true. But of course, there are also stores for something more daily-appropriate. They come from different range of prices, but most of the time they are on sale so you'll be lucky enough to purchase two for as low as 1,000 Yen. Now if you are new with Japanese currency, that kind of sale was definitely a really good bargain. Trust me. Food that are too cute to eat. I know I know. It's not a good purchase if one is not as Instagram worthy. I get you food porn addicts. Lol. Well having said that, I'm sure after all the shopping and strolling we all get a little hungry but yet, being in the place like this, we still want to be everything as aesthetically pleasing and edible at the same time. Well here in Takeshita, you get the best of both worlds! Believe me I am not exaggerating when I said food here are too cute to eat because they are! Now you might want to take as much picture before devouring it into your belly. Having said all these, I hope you get a final thought of giving this place a chance. The first time I came here, sure wasn't enough. This place might not be everyone's cup of tea but it's a one way street where you see the other side of Japan!
