Week 11 in the NFL starts with an NFC South battle as the 4-5 New Orleans Saints are at the 3-6 Carolina Panthers. The loser of this game is probably out of playoff contention. Let's take a look and see if we can find some good START/SIT for tonight.

I have to think that Drew Brees is a START every week no matter who the Saints are playing.

Cam Newton is kind of along the lines of Brees. I'm sure you drafted Newton pretty high, but against New Orleans he's a START.

Running Back:

New Orleans has been using running back by committee with Mark Ingram and Tim Hightower. If you could hit on the right running back you could be able to pick up some points, but which running back will it be this week. I'm going to stay away from both of these guys tonight; so they're both a SIT for me.

Jonathan Stewart had a non-football injury earlier in the week, but he's not listed on the Panthers injury report for the game. There's always a chance that he could be a late add. Stewart did well against the Saints in the teams 1st meeting this season, but with whatever went on with Stewart I have him as a SIT tonight.

Wide Receiver:

This should be where you get your points from the Saints tonight. Brandin Cooks has the most touchdown catches with 6. Michael Thomas has the most receptions with 51 and Willie Snead always seems to get his share of targets. Carolina has had issues stopping the pass this season; they're ranked 23rd coming into the game. I'm going with all 3 of the Saints wide receivers as START tonight.

Kelvin Benjamin is a big wide receiver and gets his targets. That shouldn't change tonight against a bad Saints defense. Benjamin is a START for me. Now the other Panthers receivers are tougher to get behind. Ted Ginn Jr. is a deep threat, but if he's not going to get a long touchdown for you; he's probably not worth playing. I have Ginn Jr. as a SIT tonight. Devin Funchess is suppose to be a receiver in the mold of Benjamin, but he has just 14 catches this season.  He doesn't seem to be a guy Newton is looking for however he did catch a touchdown pass last week. Even with that I have Funchess as a SIT tonight.

Tight End:

I was high on Colby Fleener when he signed with New Orleans and he has had some big games for fantasy owners. While Carolina has had trouble stopping the pass they also have one of the top linebacking corps in the NFL. It's tough to start four guys from the same receiving corps; so I'm going to make Fleener a SIT tonight.

Greg Olsen is one of the top tight ends in the NFL and is a must START every week. Olsen is the Panthers leader in receptions with 50 and yardage with 712 yards. Olsen is also tied for the team lead in targets with Benjamin as Newton has targeted each guy 76 times.

Defense/Special Teams:

New Orleans is ranked at #26 on defense. I'm not sure if there's every a reason to start this Defense/Special teams unit. This just isn't what the Saints do. This should be an easy SIT for you.

Carolina was a top defense last season, but this season it hasn't went there way. Carolina's young cornerbacks have a tough match against the Saints tonight. I just don't have confidence in this Panthers unit; so they're a SIT for me tonight.

There it is; I hope it helps you make some decisions for Week 11. Thanks for taking the time to read this article and come back tomorrow and we'll look at how I did with my START/SIT picks.
