Last night was the last Thursday night game for this season. In that game the Philadelphia Eagles beat the New York Giants 24-19. Let's take a look and see how my start/sit picks from yesterday did.

I thought Eli Manning would be a good play last night and had him as a START. Manning threw for 356 yards and 1 touchdown, but his 3 interceptions really hurt his fantasy value. Manning scored 7.12 fantasy points and that's not going to be a lot of help for you this week. Missed on this one.

Carson Wentz threw for just 152 yards with a touchdown and an interception. Wentz also ran the football 4 times for 27 yards. Wentz was a SIT for me yesterday and it looks like the right choice. Wentz scored 10.74 fantasy points last night.

Running Back:

I had the Giants top three running backs in the SIT column yesterday and while a couple of them scored in the low double digits for fantasy points I think I made the right decision.

Paul Perkins led all Giants running backs with 12.20 fantasy points last night. Perkins carried the football 15 times for 68 yards and caught 1 pass for 9 yards.

Rashad Jennings scored 10.35 fantasy points last night. Jennings had 9 carries for 44 yards and caught 4 passes for 7 yards.

Ryan Mathews had been a solid fantasy play over the last few weeks and I thought that would continue last night; NOPE. Mathews had 18 carries for 46 yards and caught 1 pass for 16 yards. Mathews scored 11.45 fantasy points in the game.

I didn't rank Darren Sproles yesterday because at the time I wrote the article it didn't look like he was going to play, Sproles did play and was the top scoring fantasy running back in the game with 15.55 fantasy points. Sproles had 7 carries for 40 yards and a touchdown and caught 2 passes for 23 yards.

Wide Receiver:

Odell Beckham Jr. is a must START every week no matter who the Giants are playing. Beckham Jr. had a good game last night catching 11 passes for 150 yards and scoring 23.50 fantasy points.

I had Sterling Shepard as a SIT yesterday, but he put up 17.80 fantasy points and it looks like he'd be a solid play this week. Shepard caught 7 passes for 61 yards and a touchdown while also running the football 1 time for 2 yards.

Victor Cruz was also a SIT for me last night and while he did improve over his past couple of weeks his 14.40 fantasy points won't make him a good start for the week. Cruz caught 8 passes for 84 yards.

Is Jordan Matthews a #1 wide receiver? I had Matthews as a SIT yesterday and I hope you went that route. Matthews caught 2 passes for 12 yards and scored just 2.70 fantasy points last night.

Dorial Green-Beckham was also a SIT for me yesterday and that was a good choice. Green-Beckham had just 1 catch for 7 yards and scored just 1.45 fantasy points.

Nelson Agholor was the Eagles best receiver last night. Agholor caught 2 passes for 47 yards and a touchdown. Agholor also ran the football 1 time for 5 yards and had 38 return yards. Agholor scored 13.71 fantasy points which is a good total for him, but not enough to make him useful this week.

Tight End:

Willie Tye caught 5 caught 5 passes for 23 yards and scored 7.30 fantasy points last night. I had Tye as a SIT as it's tough to get behind a Giants tight end with the group of receivers they have. It was the right choice.

Zach Ertz had been playing better the last few weeks and I was dumb enough to buy that and had him as a START. Ertz caught 2 passes for 33 yards and managed just 4.80 fantasy points last night.

Defense/Special Teams:

The Giants had 1 interception and 80 return yards last night. I thought they could be a good START, but they only scored 7.20 fantasy points last night. Missed on this one.

The Eagles had 3 interceptions a defensive touchdown and 38 return yards last night. I liked the Eagles as a START as well last night and this one worked out. Philadelphia scored 15.52 fantasy points last night.

It looks like I hit on 12 of my picks last night while missing on 4. Not a bad way to end the Thursday night games. I hope something I suggested helped you out this week or this season. Good luck the rest of Week 16 and as always thank for taking the time to read this article.

Have a safe and Merry Christmas.
